Ottsjoe Vålådalens Hembygdsfoerening

The goal of this association for local history is to be protected it our villages and their nature and received
to advance as well as the cultural development. The association represents the common interests
the areas Ottsjoe, Trillevallen, Fångåmon and Valbo, as well as of the Oestra and Vaestra Vålådalen.

What happens in the association?
The Ottsjoe Vålådalens Hembygdsfoerening (OVH) built a baking room in Ottsjoe,
all this is available, which would like to bake genuine Tunnbroed.

Hållvallen Faebod is since 1966 in the possession of OVH and is now reconditioned.
There there is a hut and a cook house to visit.

Baeverkroken is again manufactured after some years without house. It is an old house
which from 1860 to far in 20. Century was used.

As one can imagine, it costs money, time and commitment to retain these buildings
to introduce and other activities. The "Bufesten" is one of these meetings,
those now already for some years rest.

Our next project is the processing of the moving and footpath between Undersåker
and Valbo to the Lunndoerrspasset, this kilometer-long transition over the Ottsjoen.
The "Ridvadet" is beschildert and receives a better marking.

Undersåkers turistfoerening, (UTF) is active for the 30's.

The association was created, around the co-operation of all tourism enterprises in routistic
To make possible questions. The UTF is partial owner of Åre Turistbyrå.
Therefore the Turistbyrå is to all members at the disposal, those their information
over the restaurants of the Turistbyrås to spread would like.

Co-operation takes place in a set of Gebeiten, but particularly in the binding

Since its establishment the UTF has a comprehensive way system of several 100km

careful maintenance work. The UTF needs therefore a full time employee

The tourism enterprises carry the main part, but straight personal contributions
